Faith Matters

at St Francis Xavier School

Dear St Francis Xavier Families,

We are really looking forward to seeing you at the Family Picnic tomorrow. It's been some time since we have organised a whole school event so there is much excitement.

Last week the Year 3/4 teachers and I shared the most beautiful session with our  3/4 students as they undertook their reflective Labyrinth Forgiveness walk and also revisited the story of 'The Forgiving Father' using a finger labyrinth.  I would like to thank and commend the children on their focus and the way in which they completely immersed themselves into the activities.  Their concentration and reverence ensured we all had a peaceful and worthwhile experience.

Next week we will be focusing on our Holy Week learning and celebrations. The students will be exploring or reviewing the events of Holy Week through story, song, activities and prayer.

Please keep our Year 4/5 students Lexi, Grace, Gabriel, Max, Eric, Mariana, Reece, Jack, Amelia, Anna and Zairah in your thoughts and prayers. They will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation next week.

May you all experience the love and blessings of God and each other during the forthcoming Easter Season.

Warmest wishes,

Marion O'Brien
