BE INVOLVED, BE CONNECTED

I AM GRATEFUL FOR...

Having the opportunity to attend the Primary Maths Specialist Training with our two amazing Learning Specialists. There were fantastic examples of engaging lesson design and a lot of exciting mathematics ideas that we will be bringing to the classroom. A big part of this journey will be changing our perspectives on whether ‘being a maths person’ or ‘good at maths’ matters, and instead understanding that everyone is able to be great at Math and that Mathematics is exciting and fun.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. You can read more about the day here: https://www.internationalwomensday.com/. It is an important day for us to reflect on all the exceptional women in our lives and their contributions to our society. We have to remember and acknowledge all the strong female leaders, teachers and mothers that make up our community.

NEW PLAY EQUIPMENT!

Our students are loving their new play equipment in the yard! A big thank you to Ms Bain-Lowry and her students from last year for designing all these fun new pieces of equipment, and an enormous thank you to the three Peter’s from the Men's Shed for all the work in turning the students designs into reality.
