Music update

It really does feel like things are beginning it get back to normal, the sounds of students and instruments drifting around the Music Department has been a very welcome sight and sound. The next couple of weeks are looking to be quite hectic, so I would encourage all of our student (and parents) to hold on tight as we run to the end of the year.

Our Senior String Orchestra have been especially hard at work. See a video snapshot of them in rehearsal.

Bop Girl: community virtual choir

It gives me great pleasure to reveal the Shelford Girls’ Grammar community virtual choir performance of Bop Girl by Ross Wilson and Pat Wilson. I was absolutely thrilled to see so many of our Shelford families and staff stepping out of their comfort zones and recording themselves singing. The end result is truly special and something I hope you all enjoy.

AMEB exams

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be having Voice and Communication, Piano, Theory of Music and Violin and Viola exams onsite. The information for these exams has already gone out, but if anyone has any questions please contact Kirsten Ehrenberg at kehrenberg@shelford.vic.edu.au

Also, on 19 and 23 November there are a range of Wind and Vocal exams being recorded onsite. The schedule has been sent out via Operoo, but if you have any questions regarding this please contact Kirsten.

I would like to wish all of our students sitting an AMEB exam over the coming weeks the best of luck.
