Year Six News

Written by the Year Six Team

Dear Year Six Families,

On Wednesday last week the students returned to onsite learning full time. The students along with the teachers were excited to be back and ready to continue the journey together towards the end of their primary education. As a part of our return to school, the students were rewarded for their amazing efforts during remote learning with a pizza party on Friday. The students enjoyed the day as they were able to have lunch together as the Grade six cohort and completed a science experiment as a part of our unit of inquiry.

Yearbook Information

The Grade 6 Yearbook can still be purchased if you are interested in receiving a copy. They look fabulous and will be ready for collection towards the end of the term. Information regarding the yearbook has been uploaded on Xuno for your reference. You can also click on the link below to obtain your copy of the ordering form for the Yearbook and the Graduation Gifts.

Stride for Education

The aim for Stride for Education is for students and staff to be as active as possible throughout the month of November. This can be done in whichever way you wish, it can be running, walking, or wheeling for those in wheelchairs.

The Cathy Freeman foundation does important work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in remote communities. Every kilometre the students clock up, is a stride closer to support kids to realise their goals and potential through their education programs.

The students can collect donations, and these can be put onto their Stride for Education portal.

Reminders:

  • As we are now in Term 4 students are required to wear a hat onsite during recess and lunch. No hat, no play.
  • Students to come to school with their MacBook charged.
