Building a Culture of Learning

Dear Families,

Each year, our staff establish a vision for the learning culture that we want to build in our school community.  A learning culture is a mindset within an organization where learning and improvement are at the heart of how people prioritize their time, do their jobs, and interact with one another. It’s a culture where people are actively seeking opportunities to develop themselves and others, and to explore new ways for the organization as a whole to improve.

This task is completed as a Leadership Team, with all staff and with each class across the school and is expressed as a 'Learning Culture Statement'.  Each student and staff member then signs their name to the statement to demonstrate their commitment to the team and to the flourishing of the school community as a whole.  Woven into each Learning Culture Statement are the values of our school: In Faith we will show -Respect, Empathy, Inclusion and Excellence. These statements are then displayed in classrooms and other areas of the school to remind everyone of the culture we want to be a part of and also as a means of holding one another accountable should it be necessary.    We look forward to sharing some of these statements with you in the next edition of the newsletter.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child's wellbeing please contact your child's teacher.  If required, they will then liaise with me.

kind regards,
