Junior School Report
Despite the school year coming to an end for 2020 (and what a year it has been!), students in the Junior School have maintained their focus on learning and have been busy with completing a number of assessment tasks for all of their subjects leading up to our report writing day.
Over the last few days, all students in the Junior School have signed up for a number of workshops offered by our dedicated and skilled staff to keep our students learning, engaged and entertained as we approach our official last day of the school year.
Some of these workshops include: Christmas cooking, Christmas wood-making decorations, Christmas decorations (to be delivered to Arcare), numerous sporting activities to keep our students fit and moving, and a variety of other hands-on activities. The End of Year activities will take place from Thursday 10 December – Friday 11 December.
Please note, students are expected to be in full summer school uniform and must bring their PE uniform if they are taking part in any sporting activities. Students are reminded to check their Compass for a schedule of their activities.
Orion Awards Ceremony
Our much-anticipated Orion Awards ceremony looked a little different in 2020 but its focus on celebrating the achievements of our students for their academic performances was just as important.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Students, Parents, Staff and our community partnerships for another productive year, even if looked a little different this year.
We congratulate all of our students on completing another high school year and we wish everyone a well-deserved restful break over the summer holidays.
Orientation Day
This week, Scoresby welcomed our new Year 7 students starting with us in 2021. After a much anticipated lead up to our orientation day, it was so exciting to meet our new students and introduce them to our school community.
Students spent the day making new friends, familiarising themselves with our college and meeting some of their teachers for next year. They participated in a range of activities including goal setting, get to know you challenges, understanding our timetable, a scavenger hunt and many more.
A special thank you to our current Year 7 students; Anna Harper , Jay Dawson, Lachlan McTaggart and Storm Pascua, who led our new students on a tour of our school grounds.
I would also like to acknowledge the support of Ms Emily Phibbs, Ms Ellen Sawyer, Ms Kate Harnetty, Ms Su-Nhi Kim, Mrs Michele Rogers, Ms Casey Lawson and all staff who supported us on the day.
