Music Notes

Welcome to 2021

Nicole Bull, Academic Dean of Performing Arts

I would like to welcome you all back to what promises to be a sensational year in Music. Ensemble and choir rehearsals are underway for the year. Please check KCEE and the Music Notice Board for any updates to the Music Program. I encourage all students learning an instrument to be part of an ensemble or choir.

We would like to welcome Paul Coyle as our new trumpet and brass teacher and Ashleigh McMaster as our new oboe and bassoon teacher.

Welcome – Choral Captains: Matt O’Leary and Charlotte Glassel

After the year that was 2020, we hope that 2021 will be one in which we can consolidate and expand Kilvington’s choral department. All things working out, we are excited to see the continued development in Contemporary, Krooners, Kadences and Cantata, as we make the return to live music and face-to-face rehearsals.

There are also many exciting upcoming opportunities for all choristers including the Jazz Cabaret, Annual Concert and many more throughout the year. We are also very excited about the introduction of a new extension choir called Kantabile – an auditioned choir that hopes to bring out the very best of Kilvington’s choral program.

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more about joining a choir, please contact one of our Choral Captains: Matt O’Leary (olearym@kilvington.vic.edu.au) or Charlotte Glassel (glasselc@kilvington.vid.edu.au).

We look forward to seeing you join us in choir!
