From the Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians

Thank you to all the parents who attended the Learning conferences on Tuesday evening. The information shared  and goals set are an important aspect of the learning journey for your child. The staff at St Bede's are very approachable so please if there is any  need to talk to a teacher please email them to make a time. This process is important currently is important due to COVID. I ask that you just don't ask a teacher before or after school "if we can have a chat" 

School Leaders

On Friday our school leaders were present with their leadership badges at our Beginning of school mass.  Our Year 6s have had a fantastic start to the school year and after Assembly I spoke to them about how they have been an excellent example to all the other students in our school. We look forward to the influence that this Years leaders will have on our wonderful school

Swimming Trials

Our Swimming trials will be conducted on Monday 15th February. Thank you to Mr Price for organising this event. All those students who expressed interest  received a permission form to attend the trials. These forms need to be returned for your child to be able to participate.

Ash Wednesday

Our students from Yrs 1-6 will be attending Ash Wednesday mass on the 17th February. Unfortunately parents will be unable to attend. Ash Wednesday signals the commencement of Lent which is a 6 week period where we as  Christians  prepare for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

School Fees

School fees will be sent out by the school office shortly.  There has been a small increase to the school fees component but no increase to the  curriculum or capital levy  component.  The current circumstances and the events of last year have been taken into consideration when making this decision.

Yr 5/6 Camp to Canberra

Due to the current uncertainty surrounding interstate travel it has been decided that this Years 5/6 Camp to Canberra will not take place. I know this is disappointing for the students one that we had to make.  We are currently sourcing another camp which will most likely be an adventure camp.  We will keep you informed.

Masks

Thank you to all the parents who are wearing masks once they enter the school. This is a requirement that all schools need to follow. I remind parents also  to social distance when waiting for their child after school
