KHS Staff and Students Netball Competition

On the back of the successful league tag competition Clontarf

organised another fun way for staff and students to connect

The perfect sight for any school -

staff and students playing friendly yet competitive sport with and against each other in great spirit. Lots of skill, heaps of smiles, and plenty of actions to have a laugh at.

With six teams battling it out to see which faculty will be the Term3 netball champs, there was plenty to play for.

Again this term each team had a mix of teachers, Clontarf and Girls Academy students, as well as non-ATSI boys and girls.

It was awesome to see each team have three or more staff prepared to play. This term saw some newcomers join the competition, the ladies from English, who bought plenty of energy and girl power but just missed out on making the grand final. The semi-finals had the heavy weights separated to eventually meet in the all-important grand final.

Faculty. Due to the talent and fierce

competitive nature of these teams we had to call in qualified badged local umpires- as Sam and Shoey were too scared to officiate.

A huge thanks to Aliza Keast and Maddy Orriss for umpiring.

After a strong ten minutes by both teams, the Learning/AbEdteam held a small lead. The second half became quite intense as PE/Maths fought back but, it was the

determination and teamwork of the Learning/AbEd faculty that got them across the line.

A huge thanks to all staff and students who participated in the three days of netball and we look forward to Term 4 and the new sport

challenge. Soccer!
