The Third Week in Advent

The pink or rose candle is called the Gaudete candle,

from the Latin word meaning “rejoice.” The third Sunday of Advent is also known by some Christians as Gaudete Sunday. It is an important reminder in the Advent season of preparation, of the joy that is ours in knowing the power of love in our lives.

Year 6 Graduation Mass

We give thanks for the many blessings of all our students at St Joseph's Primary School, especially our Graduating Class of 2020.  Last Friday, Mass was celebrated at St Brigid's Church in honour of our Year 6 students.  It was a time to acknowledge each of the students as they participated in their Graduation Mass in various ways.  Thank you to Fr Vic and Fr Tuan for your prayers over all the students and their families as they move on to their next adventure.

We also acknowledged the dedication of one very special teacher, Mrs Cate Taylor, who has given more than thirty years nurturing children in Catholic Schools in the Armidale Diocese.  Thank you for all you continue to do to inspire and support our students and staff.  We wish you well with your next endeavour with the Catholic Schools Office.
