Next week's take home meals will be Moroccan Chickpea and Carrot Tagine on Monday 19th and Italian Butter Beans with Fennel on Tuesday 20th.

wominjeka everyone,

It looks like things are back to full swing at OSHC with all year level students returning to school post off-site school learning. With both cooking and sewing club available along with a selection of our (washable) toys and resources, it was great to see many of our students re-engaging with ASC program! Evidence of their sense of agency was met given the sounds of laughers, actively participating children and the smiles on faces. We’re so thrilled to have you all back!

Next week we have a Public Holiday: Friday the 23rd of October – AFL Grand Final

A reminder that OSHC will be closed and there will be no charges for all the bookings.

From the Program:

One of the students’ suggestion was making pom-poms and it was a very successful activity, which took lots of enthusiasm and collaboration among peers.

Science club is back with Brianna. This week theme was capillary action in plants. Students learnt how plants use capillary action to transport water from their roots, up the stem and through to the rest of the plant.

Cooking Club with Naarah and Zoe: students enjoyed making (and eating) chutney twisters. Part of the cooking club is also teaching students to clean up and pack up all the fun mess left behind! We are very proud of our students, big and small, as they are taking responsibility to leave their environment clean.

Sewing Club with Eric and Bev: this week, some students made some hand bags or scrunchies. This activity has become very popular that we now offer twice a week!

Next week Program Clubs:

Monday         Sewing Club

Tuesday       Cooking Club

Wednesday              Sewing Club

Thursday      Cooking Club & Drama Club
