NAS (Northern Associated School) Sport

NAS fixtures began this week against Sacred Heart College. Thank you all staff and students for giving their time to represent the College. All results and ladders can be found via the following link:

Please use the column on the left of the page to navigate. Round 2 NAS will see John XXIII College take on Servite College. A reminder that if students cannot meet their commitment, they need to give the teacher in charge adequate notice. Good luck to all teams.

NAS Basketball Team Members – Shawn Redhage Basketball Clinics

A reminder for students involved in NAS Basketball in Term 1, there is the opportunity to attend basketball coaching/skill sessions with former Perth Wildcat and Olympian, Shawn Redhage.

  • Year 7 and 8 NAS Basketball team members can attend on Monday from 7.00am - 8.00am.
  • Year 9 – 12 NAS Basketball team members can attend on Thursday from 7.00am – 8.00am.

There is no nomination required, or cost, for students to attend.

ACC Squad and Swimming Training (Years 7 to 12)

Students in the John XXIII College ACC Swimming squad have been notified in homeroom. Next week we have the NAS Swim Meet for Year 8 to 10 students on Thursday 1 March at Beatty Park Pool. Details will again be sent to students in homeroom. Students in the ACC squad are encouraged to attend training. Especially if they don’t train elsewhere.

 

Swimming training has commenced from 7.00 to 7.50am at the College pool. Training is open to students of all ability levels. Training will continue on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until Monday 19 March. No nomination to attend training is needed, simply attend on the day(s) you can make it.

Cross Country Training (Years 7 to 12)

Cross Country training commenced this week. It was great to see well over 60 students at our first session. Training is on Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00am to 7.50am meeting in the College pavilion. Training is open to students of all ability levels. Training will continue on Tuesday and Thursday throughout Term 1 and into Term 2. No nomination to attend training is needed, simply attend on the day(s) you can make it. Distances run vary from 4 to 7km depending on ability level.
