A message from the Principal
PREP WORKING BEE
SATURDAY 18TH MARCH at 9:00 – 12:00 NOON
We have scheduled a working bee for Prep parents on Saturday 18th March. Please indicate if you are attending via the COMPASS notification. Working bees are a great way to get to know other Prep families in the school as we offer a sausage sizzle at the conclusion of the working bee. We understand that you may be busy and unable to attend, however, if you wish to support to the school with a $20 donation, you can do so via the Compass Event Notification.
AGM ‘REPORTING TO PARENTS’ EVENING'
MONDAY MARCH 20TH AT 6:30 PM
The 2016 Annual Report is presented to the school community at our ‘Reporting to Parents Evening’ held on Monday 20th March at 6:30PM. All parents are cordially invited to attend this meeting. Please RSVP at the front office if you are attending, this is to ensure we have enough copies of the report for all who attend.
Q & A WITH THE PRINCIPAL
THURSDAY 16TH MARCH AT 7:00PM
Kingswood is recognised as a great school that builds the foundation that makes a positive difference in the life of each student. At Kingswood we engage our community. A strong partnership between home and school delivers the best schooling experience for the students, parents and teachers.
Our first forum for the year is on Thursday 16th March. It is an opportunity to hear an update from the Principal class and to discuss 2016 Parent Opinion and Student Opinion Survey results. The forum is also an opportunity to meet with members of school council and to ask questions. We will also stream live through the Kingswood Primary School Parent Facebook page.
Protocols for the forum include the following:
- Questions need to be submitted in writing no later than 4:00PM on Tuesday 14th March
- Questions can be emailed to; kingswood.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au, Rosemary Cosentino on Compass, or sent to the school office.

2018 PREP ENROLMENTS
Due to high demand of parents seeking enrolment at Kingswood Primary School, we ask our Kingswood families who have children eligible for enrolment in 2018 complete an enrolment form by Friday 31st March. Enrolment forms can be collected at the school office, printed from the school web site or by downloading the PDF available below. We give priority to families who have siblings at Kingswood; hence your cooperation in ensuring that you enrol your son or daughter by the end of Term 1 is of paramount importance. Enrolments will be confirmed by 28th July.
We have the following enrolment guidelines:
- Families with siblings at Kingswood have first priority.
- Then by distance from the school.
All enrolment forms must have a copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunisation statement & recent rate notice or drivers licence (new families).
Parents will receive a letter to confirm that the school has received the enrolment form.
