Uniform

We are pleased to announce that the new uniform was officially released at the start of this term and is now available for purchase at the school office. The phase in period for the new uniform will be from the beginning of Term 3 and it is an expectation that we will have fully implemented the new uniform by the end of 2019. The uniform will be available for sale at the school and we are investigating ways that this can be streamlined e.g. online ordering etc.

School bucket hats and caps are available to purchase from the office at a cost of $10 each. Uralla Central School branded backpacks are also available from the office for $25 each.

Middle School Jerseys - The office has a range of Middle School Jerseys for sale at the office at a cost of $75 each.

Absence Procedures

Parents are required to explain the absences of their children from school promptly and within seven days. An explanation for absence must be provided to the school within seven days of the first day of any period of absence. If your child is away there are a few ways that you can inform the school.

1. A note before the absence or the day of their return explaining why the student was away. Please include a medical certificate when possible.

2. Skoolbag. The school has a free Skoolbag App that includes Parent eForms so that absences can be sent in quickly via your tablet or smart phone.

3. Exemptions. If you are planning on being away for a period of time you can fill out an exemption form for the Principal to approve.

4. A parent/carer may inform the office of a students absence in person or over the phone.

Social Media

Uralla Central School has a Facebook page. Weekly events are loaded onto the page Friday's for the week to follow however you will also find flyers, photos, the occasional community event and also updates as they come to hand.

Please note that if you have any questions or correspondence, your best option is to please call the office and not converse via Facebook.

Skoolbag App & School Website

We have a Skoolbag App that is available for all mobile phones and tablets free in your App store, simply search 'Uralla Central School'.

This App along with the school website will hold a full events calendar, school notes, P&C news, canteen menu, links to the iNewsletter and also an archive of previous newsletters.

Parents/carers are also able to access eForms to register your child's absence and also change of contact details.

Through the Skoolbag App the school can send out alerts that will pop up on your phone screen to remind you of important events or alert you to excursions return times if there is a delay.

From 25 June 2018 you may have noticed changes to Parent online Payment (POP) portal.

The new payment portal page will now have the following changes:

*  Collapsible sections have grouped information in a more logical order making the form easier to use;

*  Browser auto-fill will allow parents and carers to make payments without having to re-enter details;

*  More time to enter details;

*  Larger controls to make it easier to use on mobile screens;

*  Allow payment via a credit card or direct debit from a bank account.

Late Arrival Procedures

If a student is late to school they need to first present at the office before attending class. Students will then be marked as present with the time they were away listed as an absence. Students should have a note from their parent/carer as to why they are late. Students are then given a late slip to take to their class.
