St Kilda Football Club

Next Generation Academy

We are pleased to announce that St James College has an exciting new partnership with the St Kilda Football Club and its Next Generation Academy.

The Next Generation Academy (NGA) is designed to develop junior players through on-field skill enhancement and an off-field life skills program.

In 2020, St James College will be one of the exclusive Colleges offering this program to Year 7 and 8 students.

Students involved in the Next Generation Academy are provided an entry point to AFL talent pathways such as Interleague Teams, TAC Cup and St Kilda Football Club’s Elite Talent Program.

As an example, in 2018, 23 players were eligible to be drafted by the Saints under the NGA’s draft concession rules.

The NGA program is delivered by an elite team of coaches provided by the St Kilda Football Club. St James College will provide the facilities and time for the program to be administered.

There will be 14 sessions for the year at St James College. In addition to this, 2 sessions will be held at RSEA Park (Moorabbin) for a tour, observation of senior training and theory sessions.

St James College is currently fielding expressions of interest for this exciting program.

There will be a monetary cost to families to be a part of the NGA. This cost will be based on the number of students involved.

The NGA program is open to all Year 7 and 8 students in 2020, who have an interest in developing their Australian Rules Football skills and knowledge.

More information about the program is available on the College Website

If you and your son are interested, please register your details by 1 November, 2019 here.
