From the Principal

This week I wish to pay special tribute to Dr Geoff Handbury AO. Geoff passed away peacefully last Tuesday, aged 94, surrounded by his loving family at his home near Lake Hamilton.  Geoff was an amazing mentor, supporter and benefactor to The College and his wise advice and good humour will be sorely missed. He was passionate about education and the wellbeing of young people across the region and his legacy will never be forgotten. His impact on College families, students and staff is immeasurable and we will always be incredibly grateful to both Geoff and his late wife Helen for their extraordinary contribution to this school.  Winston Churchill best summed up Geoff when he stated: “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”  Lest we forget.  Our deepest thoughts and prayers remain with all the Handbury family at this sad time.
