Ready to Roll!

Over the last couple of weeks in the kitchen, we have been learning safe knife skills and practicing our bear claw, bridge, and rock and chop techniques.

 

We have created some delicious seasonal maki (sushi) and Vietnamese rice paper rolls, incorporating a variety of colourful fruit and vegetables from the garden in our creations.

 

Sushi and Vietnamese rice paper rolls are just two examples of dishes that roll delicious fresh ingredients into an edible parcel. 

 

How many other dishes from around the world can you think of where you roll or wrap up ingredients to create a handheld snack? It could be sweet or savoury.
