Tell us about a joy you have had in leadership?

I think I have been presented an amazing opportunity to work with a group of extraordinary teachers, who continuously show myself and others support, gratitude and consideration. That, is very rare, and I find joy in that everyday. 

What do you love about your job?

I love working with an amazing group of kids everyday. Seeing them grow and learn. Becoming more and more independent. It is the reason I come to work everyday. 

Female role model and why?

Frida Kahlo...not only was she an amazing artist, she was a pioneer for feminism and an advocate for never giving up. She faced so much adversity and loss in her life and instead of letting it bring her down, she used it to power her greatness. 

Female who has influenced your life?

My grandmother Joyce. 

She is one of the strongest women I know. She raised 2 daughters in a developing country while working 2 full time jobs to support her family. She encouraged and supported my Mum when she migrated to Australia and, when moving here herself, embraced the culture and opportunities presented to her, her kids and grandkids. And today, at 89, continues to show her strength and independence. She's a great women. 

What are your hopes for the future?

My hopes for the future is a world of equal opportunity regardless of race, gender, sexuality, family structure, income or beliefs. That everyone can reach their full potential.
