Boys Cricket

Year 11 & 12

Last Wednesday, the Year 11 & 12 Boys cricket team ventured out to Donath Reserve in Keon Park to play against Thornbury H.S. and Northcote H.S.We played our first game against Northcote and despite our best efforts we fell short against a very strong team.

We batted first and made 35 in our 10 overs, before Northcote made a blistering 77 from their 6 overs with the bat. In the second game against Thornbury we were much more competitive restricting the opposition to 69 runs from their 10 overs of batting.

We started well in our innings, however couldn't quite chase down their score, finishing on 54 from our 10 overs.Highlights from the day were a quick-fire 20 runs by Thomas Gioskis (12C) against Thornbury, and an outstanding outfield catch by Nicholas Challis (11B) also against Thornbury.

All students represented the school well and played the game in the right spirit.

Well done boys.
