Music 

Thank you for such an overwhelmingly positive response and interest in the Instrumental Music Program this year. With over 170 expressions of interest across all year levels, it has taken some time to process the information. Permission letters were sent out in week 3 and were due back on Monday 15th February, obviously this wasn’t possible with the snap lockdown and schools being closed. I would appreciate if you could bring permission slips back to the general office as soon as the school is open so we can continue the enrolment process. 

Please remember that all offers are subject to numbers and staffing, the sooner we get all the permission slips back the sooner we can confirm all lessons and school instrument hire.

Victorian State Schools Spectacular:

Do you want to be part of the Lalor Secondary College group who performs in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular this year? You will be part of the Mass Choir which is made up of over 1200 students across Victoria. They will perform alongside a Mass Dance troup of over 1200 students, an orchestra of almost 100 students and a principal cast (singers and dancers) that bring the total to almost 3000 students.

If successful you will be required to attend weekly rehearsals throughout 2021, practise at home and record your part at the Performing Arts Unit in Collingwood. If this sounds like something you're interested in (open to all year levels) fill in this Expression of Interest form (VSSS). Auditions will be held at the start of 2021 if there are more people interested than we have spaces for.
