Term 2 Changes to Bus Bookings - Deadline for Changes

Just a reminder that you will be billed based on your days booked for the school bus, not your usage.  All changes to days for the School Bus Service for Term 2, should have already been advised.  All bus bookings not amended will be billed on your current booking.  No refunds are available for changes.

Thank You to Coles Oakleigh

Paperless Statements for 2021

Just a reminder that all Fee Statements are now sent via Email, unless you advise the School that you wish to continue receiving your Statements via regular mail.  If you believe the School may not have an up to date Email address for you, or you wish to continue to receive your Fees Statements via regular mail, please contact Sylvia via email accountsreceivable@oakleighgrammar.vic.edu.au to advise.  If you have not received your Statement, please check the “Junk” folder of your email in case it has gone there.

Bus fees 2021 to be charged in advance

In line with our Bus Fees agreement, from 2021 all Bus Fees will be charged at the START of each Term based on your bookings.  Please ensure you are booking for the days you need.  In 2020, given the COVID-19 situation and uncertainty with students learning on campus, we have billed based upon the actual days students took the bus.  Unfortunately, we can no longer continue to do this and will be billing based upon the places booked, even if your child has for some reason not taken the bus that day.

Deakin Social Study

Our tertiary partners at Deakin University are informing families of online research on adolescents' social relationships during COVID-19.

The School of Psychology at Deakin University are inviting families to take part in a new research study on adolescent development. We are looking for 11 to 15-year-old girls to participate.

We hope to learn about how adolescents’ relationships with family and friends change over time, and also how these relationships have changed during COVID-19. We are particularly interested in how adolescents communicate important personal information to others, and how these behaviours relate to mental health and wellbeing. This study requires adolescents to complete some online questionnaires on these topics. A parent/guardian will also need to fill out one questionnaire. The assessment will take approximately 1 hour to complete, and it will occur outside of school hours (online).

Deakin would also be happy to provide presentations about the importance of social relationships during adolescence, including how they relate to brain development during this time. Presentations will take approximately 15 minutes, and can be arranged either before or after recruitment, at a time that is convenient for teachers/parents.

To take part in the study please the article below:

Reminder to Update Your Child's Medication and Documentations

Dear Parents/Guardians,

If you have received an email from First Aid requesting to update medication or documentations, please make sure these are sent to First Aid.

It is vital that we have the correct up to date medication & documentations to care for your child.

Failure to do so can result in students being asked not to attend School.

Thank you to those who have provided  us with the updated medication or documentations after receiving the previous reminder.

Also, a general reminder for parents that if your child is unwell they are best to stay home, as this helps to eliminate the spreading of germs.
