Grade 1/2 Learning Community

In the 1/2 learning community we have been using student voice to brainstorm what rules are important to us. In groups, students wrote and drew their own expectations of themselves and each other. We then put all the ideas together by cutting and pasting. We sorted all our ideas under the headings of our school wide expectations ‘Care’, ‘Collaboration’ and ‘Commitment.’ Students wrote about or discussed why particular rules were important to them.
