Learning In Focus -STEM

Demolition of the old Columba building is complete {picture} and our builder Alchemy Construct is busy excavating the site to prepare for the foundations of our new Junior STEM Centre. Much of 2019 and 2020 was spent with architects from Y2 in working through the design process. The building will deliberately complement and facilitate the vision in St John’s future curriculum. {picture} STEM Teachers have been investing a great deal of time investigating best practice and innovation in the delivery of STEM learning and are set to collaborate on this entirely new curriculum for our junior students for 2022.

In 2021 we will strive to get back to all the activities, excursions, special programs and events that we lost in 2020. We look forward to seeing all students finding their place and discovering relevance in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
