From the Principal

Dear Families,

We have reached the end of Term Two. I hope that all families have a lovely break away from school.

It has been a great term and the students have engaged in so many activites.

Our Year Six students visited the Swan Hill College this week and we had students attend Head Space. The Senior students also attended the 5/6 Winter Sports. It is always great to see students representing SHNPS with such pride.

Reports

We hope that all families enjoyed reading student reports. They went home to families via Sentral last night. If you require support with Sentral please contact the office in Term Three. Parent Teacher chats will happen in Week 3. Bookings will open in Week One.

Supreme Incursions

Today a permission slip has gone home for an incursion on the first two days of Term Three. We have been lucky to secure Supreme Incursions who will deliver a hands on experience. This is an introduction to our Science Unit. Please note payments can be made via bank deposit, CSEF or at the front office on Monday 11th July. We understand that this a large cost for an excursion, but it means an engaging incursion can be ran at school.

Calendar

The Term Three Calendar has been sent home this afternoon. Please note we have two Curriculum Days next term. This is advice from DET. The first Curriculum Day is Tuesday 2nd August. There will be no school for students on this day.

NAIDOC Week

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country.

This week Sahra has been running activities with all of the students. Please see some of the photos below. Thank you to Sahra.

Have a happy and safe holidday.
