Kids Corner

The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special.

This fortnight, Anya and Pooja, Year 2, would like to share their writing talents:

My Birthday – by Anya

(Goal – To apply my voice)

On my birthday I woke up at 6:30 because it was my birthday! I was so excited when I was having breakfast, I had pancakes. When I finished, I went to the Rainbow Play Centre. When I was there, I was carrying the balloons, my mum was carrying the cake and my dad the give-away presents.

When I was in Room 7 I went to play in the ball pit. Then my friend Tiana came, and we went on the toy cars. Then suddenly we heard a huge bang, it was all of my friends running towards us and then we all played.

Deanna’s House – by Pooja

(Goal – To apply my voice)

One Saturday my amma (mum) said to me, “Today we are going to Deanna’s house.’

Then I said, “Yes!”

It took a while to get there and when we arrived, we went into Deanna’s room, and it had pick everywhere. Deanna started to play chess and I won. We then had orange juice and an Oreo bag.

Deanna has cute animal toys; we took the cute Pluto and Husky out and I played with them a lot. For lunch we got Hungry Jack’s. We went outside to eat it. I had chicken nuggets.

Deanna did not know how to play cricket, we played anyway and there were flies everywhere. When it was time to go home. What a great day it was at Deanna’s house!
