Dance 

Well where do we begin?! It's been nothing short of an epic year here at Saltwater, and students have danced their way through 2022 with so much pride, passion, and power, and have set the bar high for what's yet to come! There were so many milestones this year, and in each one everyone delivered above and beyond expectation.                                                                                                                                                  YEAR SEVEN dance elective classes were the first here at Saltwater for 2022 and did not disappoint. Students jumped out of their comfort zones and applied themselves to the challenges set out realising that it's not just about dance, but rather all the elements surrounding it, and how they can use it in all other areas of life. This saw student's confidence grow, and minds open ,while gaining a deeper understanding of the benefits dance can produce.                                                                                                                                                  This year we celebrated our very first Musical Aladdin which was a huge success on so many levels. The students we so committed and dedicated, and worked so hard to achieve their goals to be the first musical here at Saltwater College. Once again the students exceeded all expectations and put on such a powerful performance leaving parents, staff, and everyone involved beaming with pride and excitement for what they just saw! We are all so proud of this amazing achievement, and would like to thank everyone involved behind the scenes, in helping to bring this to life! Congratulations again to all!                                                                                                                                    Victorian State School Spectacular saw 16 amazing dancers represent our school for the very first time at this years amazing show! Our students were so professional, focussed, and consistent in their approach and preparation to this years spectacular and set the bar high amongst other schools in performance and behaviour. They shared the stage alongside 3,000 students showcasing their skills performing on the big stage in front of up to 10,000 people. Definitely an experience we all won't forget and will be cherished, and one we couldn't have done without our amazing supporting staff also. Thank you to the staff, and a huge congratulations to all the dancers involved! So proud of each and everyone of you! The performance will be shown on Channel 7 on Saturday 17th December, at 7pm!! Don't miss it!                                                                                                                                                                         A huge congratulations goes out to all the Year students on graduating, but an even bigger congratulations to all students who performed on the night! You all performed so well in both dance and choir, and set the bar so high for all the years to follow! Everyone worked so well together and there was so many heartfelt emotions from both parents and staff seeing you perform on the night! This is what team work is all about, and you all shone so brightly on stage working together to deliver such amazing memorable moments! Congratulations and well done again!                                                                                                                                                  Saltwater Christmas Carols were a huge success this year despite the setbacks with the Melbourne weather. Students and staff worked so hard on their songs and routines for this years live event. Unfortunately we weren't able to perform live in front of our family, friends and community due to the rain, but we weren't going to let that stop us! With a last minute change of plans, carols were moved to the gym for the whole school and live streamed. The students put on an absolutely amazing show making it the best carols as yet at Saltwater! Congratulations to all students, staff and crew on a spectacular end to 2022 with such an epic performance by all!
