Prayer for those affected by Bushfires

We have all been anxious and concerned about the bushfires presently burning in Northern NSW and Queensland. Let us pray for all those affected by these by these bushfires and for those fighting to protect and support the many people affected and the devastation to our natural environment.

Dear Lord

We pray for those whose lives have been touched in so many different ways

by the tragedy of these bush fires.

We give thanks that no one has been killed and

we pray for those injured or suffering emotional trauma.

We pray for those who have lost their homes and property.

We pray for those who have had to leave their homes.

We pray for the environment that has been ravaged by drought and fire.

We pray for our Rural Fire Service and all those fighting these fires.

We pray that in the months ahead that they receive the strength they need to rebuild their lives,

and with the care and support of all we pray in faith and hope and love.

Blessed Edmund Rice ... Pray for Us

St Pius X ... Pray for Us

Live Jesus in our Hearts .. Forever

Proposed Mobile Phone Policy:  Your feedback requested

The College is considering a new direction in the Mobile Phone Policy due to the many distractions posed by mobile phones to students' learning in classrooms and to their social interactions in the playgrounds.

Parents are asked for their feedback to this proposed policy by emailing feedback@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au

Proposed Policy

  1. St Pius X is a ‘No Phone Zone’ whereby students must immediately put their phones in their lockers upon arrival at school.
  2. This means not in the student’s pockets, not on ‘silent’, switched off and certainly not in any classroom unless directed otherwise by a staff member etc.
  3. Any teacher seeing a student with a phone would be allowed to confiscate it and hand it in at the main office or with Mr Casey/Mr Sean Brannan etc. The only way to have it returned is after the student accepts being issued with a detention.

A Vibrant School Environment

Seeking Board Members for St Pius X College Chatswood

Gender Equity and the St Pius X College Board

Our College Board has an excellent mix of female and male Board members and as an equal opportunity employer we are committed to an equally gender balanced staff.

With our recent recruitment for future Board members I encourage women and men to consider an Expression of Interest.  Involvement in the Board is a rewarding experience with like-minded adults who seek to continue the enhancement of our wonderful school community.

An information evening will be held on Tuesday 17 September 2019 at 7.00pm in the College Boardroom.  Anyone interested in attending to learn more is invited to register by phoning Christine Jennings on 9411 4733 or emailing on admin@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au  Att: Christine Jennings.  On receiving your response, further material will be provided to you to prepare for the meeting.
