Curriculum Matters

Each year two of our Key Learning Areas undergo a review process. The purpose of this is to ensure that quality learning and teaching is occurring as well as NESA/ Catholic Schools Office compliance. The audit process is conducted by a representative from CSO as well as curriculum leaders from various schools throughout the Diocese. Kildare's Creative Arts and HSIE KLAs will undergo this review process and will be affirmed in their work later in the term.

For students in Year 10 we are embarking on the exciting times of looking at options for 2018.  For many of our students this will mean continuing their education at Kildare, whilst others will seek employment, apprenticeships or TAFE options. Regardless of the option taken, students will be offered support and guidance so that they are well informed. I look forward to parents, students and teachers alike, being actively engaged and having great conversations about the possibilities that lie ahead. More information relating to the subject selection processes and timelines to assist your understanding will be available in the next issue of the newsletter.
