BRADMAN Cluster News

Bradman Cluster Sport Captain - Natalie Mikic

The opportunity to lead the Bradman Cluster, as sport captain has enabled me to develop my confidence and leadership skills, and I am sure I will always look back at this experience fondly. It has been an honour to lead the Bradman cluster, their immense enthusiasm, keen sportsmanship and ability to rise to any challenge has made my role enjoyable. Bradman’s commitment, teamwork, keen participation on and off the field has been inspirational. This was particularly apparent during cluster soccer when Bradman had more players than required, making my job difficult to select a team to lead Bradman to victory.

Even though we fell short of making the soccer finals all of the Bradman participants tried extremely hard and did not give up on the field until the whistle blew. Whilst everyone gave it their best, there were a few Bradman students who stood out on the field. Kyle Haddad was a very competitive and determined member to the boy’s team who ensured we had the best team each week and also showed off his skills by scoring a few goals. Adrian Tardio was also one of the main goal scorers who will definitely help lead Bradman to more wins next year and Christopher Colerio who played in defence and made it difficult for the opposing side to score goals.

In the girls team there were many girls who gave soccer a go who normally wouldn't play, however Sheniz Ahmet showed off many of her soccer skills scoring goals almost every game and Allie Calleja who played all over the field making it hard for the opposing team to defend her. Although competitive, the Bradman cluster are a close knit community, always ready to support one another, on or off the field, creating a challenge for any opposing Cluster. Interacting with the other sport captains has been enjoyable as we all work well together and ensure cluster sport runs smoothly by setting up the ground, timing, scoring and always remain fair when discrepancies occur. I look forward to the rest of the year and what lies ahead for the Bradman cluster in relation to sports and continuing to work collaboratively with the other sport captains.
