Hi Families,

Over the past two weeks the children have had a lot of fun in morning and after care with our themes of video games and Harry Potter. There has been much discussion about our favourite video game characters and games, with artwork produced reflecting this.

Last week we changed the theme to Harry Potter and there has been much excitement and activity around this. Children have been constantly creating artwork based around the books and movies and the Harry Potter discussions have been fun and inclusive to everybody at care. The children have also created Disney/Moana themed artwork including masks, costumes and pictures using a range of art and craft and recycled materials.

The past two weeks the children have been really big on creating musical and dramatic performances by using percussion instruments and showcasing their many creative talents. The past two weeks have also included child lead dance parties, where children showcase their dance skills and have a lot of fun dancing together and taking turns at being the DJ.

Our regular popular sports such as tennis, soccer, basketball and cricket have been played frequently and at a pace where everybody is included no matter what stage of the game.

Our continuing theme for this week will remain as Harry Potter, as its super popular and the children and staff have collaboratively organized some really cool activities around it.

The usual games such as soccer, basketball, football, cricket, netball will be offered and whatever creative new games we can come up with. We also have a great range of board games, card games, puzzles and other fun educational games for the children to enjoy.
