ICAS and REACH Testing

Congratulations to those students who have completed the ICAS and REACH assessments this year. Students participated in many different disciplines and have received a certificate and report of their assessments.

This year we trialled the REACH assessments in conjunction with the ICAS testing and we look forward to once again offering this experience to students in 2020. If you are interested, please keep an eye out on the newsletter next year.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thanks to everyone who attended our Parent Teacher Interviews last week. They were very well attended with lots of great discussions regarding the learning journey our students have been on for the last 12 months.

We have our second Parent Teacher Interview this Thursday from 4 – 6.30pm. If you haven’t already booked, don't despair there is still time. Bookings will close on Wednesday at 3.30pm.

There are lots of great reasons to book an interview with your child’s teacher, none more important than to show your interest in your child’s learning. It is amazing what your child will pick up on.

The following information may help with making the most of these sessions:

Classroom Teachers: 15 minutes

Specialist Teachers: 10 minutes

School Magazine

Over the past 10 weeks, the school magazine has been carefully and thoughtfully put together to build on the feedback we have received in the past few years. There are lots of great new features in this year including camp reviews, school events, school leader reflections and a send off for our graduating Year 6 students. 

Thanks to those who have already purchased a magazine, and the good news is we have extended orders until 3.30pm Wednesday. Yes, get your orders in on QKR by then and you will secure a magazine to be delivered to the eldest in each family in the last week of school.

Graduation and Final Assembly

We are all very busy at this time of year and we are pleased to announce that we will be televising our Graduation Ceremony and final assembly live for parents to view, should they not be able to make the event.

Firstly, please note that these live telecasts will be private and not available to all on the web. They will be only available to families of the school who have the link. This link becomes dead as soon as the telecast finishes.

These telecasts will not provide close up shots of students but will rather be long shots to give an indication of what is happening on stage.

Process

Graduation:

The day of the event we will send a link to Grade 6 families.

End of Year Assembly:

The night before the assembly a Compass message will be sent to all families with a link.
