Prep Orientation Day and Buddies
This week sees our new prep students for 2020 taking part in their orientation day. As you can see, to support this we have our grade 5 students buddying up with the little ones to help them find their way around the school and to feel comfortable and happy in the yard. The grade 5s have done a fantastic job with this and love the opportunity to foster relationships between the little ones and themselves.
Well done to the Prep and Grade 5 teams who helped orchestrate the day and to our current prep families who helped supply morning tea. In addition to this, we’d like to thank Ange Stock and Tracey Coats for their involvement in the parent information session to help provide valuable information to those who are new to the school.
Parent Resource - Understood.org
From time to time we like to share resources with parents that support the home-school bond in regards to their child’s education. From memory problems to speech and language issues, pretty much everything is covered.
This time, we would like to share Understood.org. This resource has lots of information for parents and recommendations to specific learning issues and age levels. If you would like to jump on and take a look, you’ll find ways to support your child further as they progress in their schooling.
Emergency Evacuation Drill - This Week
A courtesy note to all families that during the later stages of this week, we will be holding an emergency evacuation drill. We encourage all families to discuss this with their children to ensure they understand the need to practice these drills and how it is all about keeping them safe. Thanks in advance!
