Orientation Day

It was great to see our Preps for 2020 join us for a special day today. They settled in beautifully with Mrs Anderson and had a great time being ‘big kids’ for the day. We are looking forward to them joining us again when school starts in 2020.

Well Done Maggie

Maggie has been wanting to get her hair cut short for a while! She has made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating her hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. She really wants to donate her hair to make a wig for someone who has lost theirs so they can feel happier. Collaborative Planning Days

The Scotsburn students will be joining The Buninyong campus Gr 3’s on Thursday 12th December at the Buninyong campus. An information note from David Young was sent home last week.

Skateboarding Clinic

This Friday, the SC2’s and SC3’s will have the opportunity to participate in a skateboard clinic. All equipment including helmets will be supplied, however students are most welcome to bring their own helmet if they would prefer.

Working Bee

A big shout out to all of our wonderful parents. We will be having our final working bee for the year on Friday 13th at 2.30pm-4.30pm. It will be a great chance for us to get the school grounds looking great in readiness for our end of year break up. The main thing to do will be tidying up long grass. If you have a whipper snipper, it would be great if you could bring it along.

Shared Christmas Lunch

The students and staff are looking forward to enjoying a shared Christmas feast together on Friday 13th. Parents are most welcome to come along and help out from 11.30am.

KK Presents

All students involved in the Kris Kringle have received a slip indicating who they need to buy a $5 maximum present for. All KK presents must be returned ASAP as they will be opened at our shared Christmas lunch on Monday 16th.

Change of Date

Our Celebration Day has been re-scheduled for Thursday 19th December. The plan (weather permitting) is for the students to spend a couple of hours at the Buninyong Swimming Pool. Permission notes are required to be returned ASAP.

2020 Book List Orders – SC1

All students in SC1 (Prep - 2 in Mrs Anderson’s class) will not be required to pick up their booklist from the front office at Buninyong at the beginning 2020. All books and stationary will be collected by Mrs Anderson and ready to use day one. If you do not order your child’s booklist through the school, please bring them on the first day of Term 1 not labelled. Christmas Breakup

We are all looking forward to our Christmas Breakup next Tuesday 17th starting at 6pm. Thank you to those that placed something into the baskets for the Hamper Raffle. Don’t forget to bring along a few dollars to purchase tickets as you arrive ($1 a ticket or 3 for $5). A friendly reminder to also place a named wrapped item in the box above the freezer in the old building! The evening will conclude with a supper and band, so please bring along something to share.

Christmas Hamper Raffle

With our Christmas break up fast approaching (Tuesday 17th December), a basket has been placed in each classroom for donations for our annual Christmas Hamper Raffles. It would be great if you could pop something into the basket ASAP.
