Canteen Helpers Needed
Scotsburn are scheduled to assist Tracey in the canteen in the next few weeks. Special thanks to the wonderful volunteers below for offering their support.
Pre Schooler Program
Wednesday saw another successful transition morning for our upcoming Preps in 2020. It was wonderful to see the students settled and enjoying the activities and company of the Scotsburn students. It was fantastic to also see our existing and new parents together in the old building enjoying a chat and morning tea. Transition will continue over the next two weeks from 9:30am to 11:00am. During this time, the kinder students will be introduced to our Specialist classes, PE and Art where we are sure they will continue to enjoy themselves immensely.
Grandparents & Special Friends Morning
Thursday 7th November is Grandparents & Special Friends morning. We would like to invite all Grandparents and Special Friends along from 9am – 11am. It would be great if all families could send along a small plate of food for our guests to share from 10.30am in the Old Building. We are looking forward to what is always one of the highlights of the school year.
Prep -Year 2 Sleepover
Last Thursday, the P-2’s had a brilliant time at the sleepover. The weather was amazing allowing the students to spend lots of time outside. The students enjoyed a BBQ tea, a scavenger hunt, a night walk, toasted marshmallows, games and lots more. We eventually settled down to a movie, which was enjoyed by all. After an early rise, the students spent the whole day at school. They made their own lunch and snacks and survived the day. So did the staff! A big thanks to the staff that assisted to ensure that the students had the best time.
Awards
Bike Education
The Gr 3-6 students will begin participating in Bike Education this week. The dates are Thursday the 31st Oct, 7th Nov & 14th Nov. Permission notes have been sent home last week. Student are welcome to bring in their bikes and leave them on campus for the duration of the Bike Education. For those without a bike, there will be bikes available to borrow for the lessons. All students must bring along their own helmet.
Bring Your Bike to School Week
To coincide with the Bike Ed Sessions for the Gr 3-6’s, students from P-6 at Scotsburn are all encouraged to bring their bike and helmet to school from the 11th-15th November. Students will be using the bikes during PE sessions and also at break times. Bikes can be dropped off prior to the day for your convenience. All bikes will be locked away over night for their safety.
New BBQ Area
Rick and Ken are doing a brilliant job building the new BBQ area. The money that was raised from the school fete is funding this project, which will most definitely get plenty of use for years to come.
Totem Poles
Rick and Ken have also installed some totem poles, which will be painted and decorated by Mrs Morgan and the students in time.
Brighter Lines
Earlier this week, new designed were painted onto the concrete area for the students to enjoy. They include a clown target, 4 square court, bat tennis court and hop scotch grid. I’m sure you’ll all agree that they look fantastic.
Icy Poles
Axel will again be selling icy poles for $1 on Thursday.

Lunch Order Roster
Lunch orders need to be collected from the Buninyong campus at 12.40 pm. Please ensure you organise a swap if necessary so that the students don’t go hungry!
