EMR Swimming Results

Last term our best 36 swimmers ventured to Aquanation to participate in the highly competitive EMR Swimming Carnival. Our students represented the school with pride and not having a large amount of students who swim competitively the results were pleasing. EMR and State Diving Championships

This week both the EMR and State Diving Championships took place at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. Brentwood was represented at the event by Stacey James who competed in both the EMR and State levels. Stacey  placed second in the EMR round of Diving and then placed fourth in the State round against divers from other schools from all over Victoria.

Congratulations to Stacey on her achievements on the day.

Game 1 saw the girls coming up against Rowville Secondary College - a real challenge as they have a volleyball sports programme. The girls were not successful, going down in straight sets. The girls tried hard but could improve on a few things like positivity and position on the court.

Game 2 saw the girls have a tough fight against Kew High School. All the team showed significant improvement and really scored well against a team that practices together consistently. BSC went down in straight sets - 25:10 and 25:14.

Game 3 was BSC v Warrandyte and the girls were victorious!! It was an intense but messy game. With many close calls and pressure building the girls managed to pull through with straight set 26:24 and 25:23. The coach was very pleased with the overall improvement in the team throughout each round.

Game 1 saw the girls coming up against Rowville Secondary College - a real challenge as they have a volleyball sports programme. The girls fought hard, supported each other and demonstrated a real improvement over the two games. Unfortunately, they were not successful going down in straight sets.

Game 2 was a fight against Kew High School - another strong volleyball team. But the Brentwood girls did themselves proud - scoring 12 against a highly trained team. Each team member showed significant improvement and serving! Well done! In the end we lost in straight sets again but it was a great game to watch!

Game 3 saw us compete against Mullauna College.

A much more competitive game saw the girls deliver on serves, keep long rallies going and even deliver some killer hits! Well done on representing BSC with pride!
