Junior School Sport Update

“I tell you that the coaches are like cardiologists - they have to enter the player in their hearts so that the message reaches them.” Mikel Arteta

With the end of Term 3 fast approaching, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the coaches of our Junior School Winter Teams. It is only through your dedication and sacrifice that we can play through the season, cut short this term as it was. Not only do we get to play, but in most instances, we perform at a higher level than most expect. We owe this achievement to the commitment of our quality coaches.

I would also like to thank all the parents and carers. Without you driving your boys around Sydney on weekends and picking them up after training, we wouldn’t have teams to place into competitions. I thank you for your willingness to help and be involved with the teams and I know all our coaches also appreciate the assistance.

Finally, I would like to thank the boys in the Junior School who played this Winter Season. Your conduct both on and off the field has been excellent and you have been wonderful ambassadors for the College. Your ability to play hard, but fair, and your desire to perform each week, has been the cornerstone of this season. Well done!

For the record, our Winter Sports teams achieved the following winning percentages: Rugby 64%, Football 63%, and AFL 67%. Overall, it was great to see the consistency across the codes, signifying a very successful winter season.
