Principal's Message

Dear Parents, students and the wider community,

With lockdown extended now until at least Thursday 2 September at least we can plan our lives a little better than the "will we/won't we'' scenario  that we seemed to be living in. Time to think about how we all find those joyful moments as family and remember the many things we can be grateful for despite the current limitations we must live within.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation have now been postponed to Fourth term. The Parish Sacramental team met this week and are looking at finding an alternate date with our Bishop, Fr Tony Ireland  and, once that is set, working out when to hold the First Eucharist celebrations.

Our Foundation Information Night was scheduled for Thursday 2 September. Though we did last year's on-line we would really like to do this face to face. As such we will re-schedule this to be on-site for Thursday 9 September at 7pm. We are also hoping to have the students here for the Super Starter Hour in the afternoon.

Looking ahead there are a number of events that will not proceed due to this current lockdown. These include our senior sport against the local schools, Father's Day Stall and Father's Day Breakfast.

To the students at home learning I have enjoyed attending some of the google meets this week and looking at some of the work on Seesaw. Keep up the great work.

May God bless you and your family and may you enjoy some opportunities to relax as a family.
