GS1 Healthcare Provider Advisory Council (HPAC) webinars

GS1 Healthcare is focused on helping hospitals and healthcare providers.

The GS1 Healthcare Clinical Advisory Committee consists of thought leaders and early adopters of GS1 Healthcare Standards from the global clinical provider environment to identify projects that support the adoption of GS1 Healthcare Standards in Healthcare institutions and retail pharmacies. Their final goal is to improve patient safety, cost efficiency and staff productivity.

The Healthcare Engagement team organises monthly webinars to discuss Healthcare provider examples of implementation. These webinars are open to any stakeholder interested in learning about the benefits of GS1 standards implementation in the caregiving environment.

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK has been at the forefront of the Department of Health and Social Care programme to incorporate GS1 Standards into the NHS. Two years and one pandemic after the end of the scheme Leeds is starting to see the rewards of all the foundations they have placed.
