Ballarat Libraries are open for Click and Collect

The shift to Remote Learning has had many challenges, but one of the positive impacts that we have seen is that many students have increased the amount of reading that they do. With so many regular activities being disrupted and news reports painting such a bleak picture, young people are escaping into books in higher and higher numbers.

What many parents don’t realise is that Ballarat Libraries are still open, but for Click and Collect only. So while it is not possible to physically browse in the Library itself, it is possible to check the catalogue on line and place books on hold. You will be notified when your book becomes available. You can then go to the library to collect it. The due dates on all loans, as well as expiry dates on holds, have been extended until libraries reopen.

Ballarat Libraries have branches in Sebastopol, Wendouree and Ballarat Central. For more information head to the Ballarat Libraries Website. Most bookshops in Ballarat also offer Click and Collect service.
