VSCCA

The VSCCA is the social, networking and fundraising arm of the College, consisting of parents keen to be involved with how their child is being educated. By getting involved, we get to hear first-hand the (co-curricular and extra-curricular) initiatives being implemented by the College and how they may affect our children. By being a part of the Community Association, we also get the opportunity to influence the initiatives being implemented by the College. If you want to be involved, please leave your contact details at the College Front Office or email Bec Mitchell on VSCCA@vermontsc.vic.edu.au . The meetings and events provide a great opportunity to meet other parents, and also members of the College leadership team.

CATERING COORDINATOR

POSITION VACANT

DUTIES INVOLVED:

To co-ordinate events that require food and/or drinks for the school community. (Despite the title, NO ACTUAL COOKING/CATERING IS REQUIRED BY THIS PERSON. Duties are to order food/drinks and petty cash and set up roster of helpers. Most VSCCA members help in some way.)

These events may include:

The Year 7 Information evening, Water and/or Tea and Coffee.
Bunnings BBQ / Cake Stall
Election Day BBQ
Year 7 Dinner on the Deck
Working Bee
Comedy/Trivia night.
Any other events that are requested from faculty (Usually coffee and biscuits and a couple of helpers)
NOT School Play or Music events

Below is further information about the role:

Where money is needed an email is sent to the office requesting funds in whatever denominations are needed.
Where food is needed it is ordered through the canteen.
Bread is usually ordered through Bakers Delight Brentford Square.
Where ice is needed either Canteen or Faculty member orders.
Nothing is to be paid for by the coordinator. The Canteen bill VSCCA and Bakers Delight is paid for via school Credit Card.
There is a folder with all instructions for each event.

Our previous Catering Coordinator (2020-21 President) is also available to assist.
