From the Principal

Last Friday I had the privilege of sharing lunch with past principals Mr Tim Murray (1978-1985), Mr Stephen Newton (1986-1992) and Mr Bruce Simons (1999-2015) along with all six of our last Board chairs. Mr Neil MacLean reflected on the significant contribution our past Heads have made to the wider educational development of the state. After dessert, we shared some precious memories around the table.  Everyone’s affection for the College was so evident and we all agreed that College had played a very important part of our lives. It was a splendid afternoon.

As we continue to challenge the Federal Government over their proposed DMI funding model that will reduce our allocated income by over three hundred thousand dollars in 2022, can I encourage parents to contribute to Independent School Australia’s research on school choice by using this survey link.  The survey is open until 1 June 2021.

I also encourage you to explore our 2020 Annual Report.

Finally, the Acting Premier’s announcement today was not unexpected, and we are prepared.  Please use the following link to read our plans.  The mood in the senior school playground is one of optimism, long may it reign.
