Classroom News - Year 2

Year 2 have been doing some fantastic learning!

English

In English we have been looking at persuasive texts. In last weeks 'Big Write', the students had some very convincing arguments about 'The Best Pet'. 

Maths 

We have been learning about addition and subtraction strategies to make our calculations quicker and more accurate. We have been learning about 'bridging to 10' as well as doubles and near doubles. 

PE

We have started to prepare for the Athletics Carnival. Year 2 had fun with discus, shot-put and long jump. Everyone tried their best and showed great teamwork!

Dio Cross Country

Congratulations to Emily, Phoebe and Zamen who participated in the Dio Cross Country at Barraba. They all ran really well and should be proud of their efforts!
