Storytime

This term some of our junior school students have started participating in storytime which is held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 8:30 - 8:45 am. All of our junior school students are welcome to attend. The students have really been enjoying listening to a variety of stories and sharing this special time with our Year 6 students.

There are many benefits of reading aloud to children which include:

• Supporting cognitive development
• Improving language and literacy skills
• Preparing for academic success
• Increasing concentration
• Sparking imagination and stimulating curiosity
• Learning about the world, their own culture and other cultures
• Expanding vocabulary
• Cultivating a lifelong love of reading
