Grade 5/6  Winter Sports- AFL Update (Newsletter Edition) 

On Wednesday the 19th of May the Grade 5/6s from our school went to Marty Busch Reserve to play against other schools.  We played 3  games. The first game was Buninyong V/S Delacombe. The score was 42 to 0.  They played well and tackled hard. We played hard too but they were too strong. 

In the second game, Haddon beat us by 7 points.  Jesse marked the ball and booted the ball through the goals- it was awesome.  We lost to Haddon with the final score being 15-8.

The final game was played against Mt Clear.  The final score was 12-7.  Ryan, who had never played a game of AFL before, came out of a spectacular tackle holding the ball and kicked a goal to score the first goal of the game. Rocco starred in the third game as he broke free from a tackle and booted the ball away from opposition straight into the arms of Jesse.

Well done to everyone who played well, we had such a great time!
