Cooking:

Last week students were celebrating Kodomo No Hi (Children’s Day) in Japanese classes. To join in the celebration, students learnt how to make Miso Soup during cooking classes. We were very fortunate to have Tomoe (Kyle, Aidan and Liam’s mum) share her homemade miso paste to use to make the soup. It takes at least 12 months for the paste to ferment and be ready to use, so we are very grateful.

Gardening:

It was an important week for the Grades 3-6 this week as they underwent rigorous testing in order to attain their wheelbarrow licences. Students were required to demonstrate how they can maneuver a wheelbarrow both forwards and backwards through a slalom. All students passed with flying colours and we celebrated their success at our Wheelbarrow Licence Award Ceremony Gala.
