Wow! What a busy time the Frogs have had since returning from Remote Learning. We look forward to BluEarth every week but we especially enjoy the week we have Jimmy our instructor because we LOVE learning new games and skills. This fortnight we learnt snow ball tiggy, wallabies and kangaroos and bombardment. Boy, did we have FUN! 🎾
We also enjoyed spending time with our senior buddies. This fortnight we decided to do an art activity outside, whilst the weather was nice. We created different images using leaves from our school yard – we turned our leaves into pictures of butterflies, echidnas, people and lots more! 🍁🍃🍂
The Quokka’s have been learning about how to work collaboratively. We have introduced task cards for group work. First we investigated the roles required to work as a team. Just chillin’ out after lunch with a good book.
It was a big week for STEM in the Senior area this week, with the Seniors completing the sphero chariot challenge.
With 100% success rate, there was much excitement across each of the rooms, as all chariots were able to navigate the required 2m distance without falling apart!!!
The Juniors continued to build on their coding skills completing an unplugged coding task on paper, and then were given the opportunity to program the bee bots to complete their very own paddle pop stick maze!
The students from the Rosellas Class researched different types of performances kids might be involved in and what would be needed to make their performance successful. Some performances found included Dancing, Pantomimes and Talent Quests. They enthusiastically participated in some of the dance examples they found.
