The Feast of the Sacred Heart

The heart has always been seen as the “centre” or essence of a person.  Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is devotion to Jesus Christ Himself, but in the particular ways of meditating on his interior life.

Throughout the Gospel, we see the outpouring of Jesus’ love from His heart, whether in miracle stories, the reconciliation of sinners, or the compassion for the grieving.

PRAYER FOR YOUR CHILDREN

O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I love you with this poor heart of mine.  Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you.
