Families and Community -

2022 PARENT INFORMATION SESSION

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering ONSITE information sessions for families.  The evening meeting will be on Thursday 24th June @6:15pm.  This will be the first of two information sessions for 2022 families - a link to register your interest will be sent out within the weekend update.

SCHOOL BEGINNING TIMES

We know that it is the end of term and getting out of the house may be proving difficult but please be mindful - our day begins after the morning music plays.  To ensure your child begins their day smoothly we strongly recommend that you are here prior to the bell

It also allows the classroom teacher to spend time with your child.  In the junior rooms, the morning is particularly valuable for reading 1:1 with the teacher.  Something that we want for all children.

BABY NEWS

Letti Maree Windridge arrived safely on 15th June.  Congratulations to Rach, Corey and big sister Lily on your beautiful addition to your family.  We know that she is going to bring you all so much joy x

COVIDSafe - sick children

Thank you for being understanding of the guidelines that we are implementing.  We know that it is putting extra pressure on family life, however as we know this is a health crisis and

we must ensure that all people onsite are well enough to be here. We are asking families to assist us to remain COVIDSafe and ensure that we keep others well by keeping sick children at home.  We understand that coughs and colds part of the winter season, however guidelines for schools are clear; any child that presents unwell will be isolated and parents will be asked to collect immediately. If you are called by the school we ask that you comply with the request to collect.

HEAD LICE

It appears that these little critters are taking up residence in children's hair.  We ask that you remain vigilant in checking and treat when you are required.  Courtesy would be to let the school know of this so we can put the correct processes in place.   Don't forget to wash EVERYTHING - bedsheets, hair brushes, couch cushions.  Reoccurring episodes may continue unless all bases are washed!  A reminder that long hair should be tied up.

As we move to the end of another adventurous term, we say thank you to each and every family for journeying with us.  We did it!  Celebrate the achievements of your children and pat yourself on the back for being there for the highs and lows.

We hope that you take the time enjoy your little people during the holidays.  Laugh, play and make memories!

With strength and gentleness,

Jessica Carmichael
