Senior Athletics Carnival

On Thursday 6th May, all students from Years 3 – 6 headed to the Tom Kelly Athletics Track in Doncaster to compete in the School Athletics Carnival. All students selected five track or field events to compete in, some of which were held in the prior weeks at school.

The weather turned out to be amazing and it was so lovely to see all students participating in this event, especially after not being able to run Athletics in 2020. It was also fantastic to see all the students decked out in their house colours and cheering for their fellow housemates. The winning house will be announced at the next school assembly, which will be from a collection of points earned at both the Junior and Senior Athletics!

A huge thank-you to Mr Batt for helping me to run this day. Also, a massive thank you to Ms Derchieh Hung for assisting me with the set up and pack up, and to all of the wonderful staff and parents who assisted in making this day run so smoothly. It definitely could not have been done without you.

Our school team will now be picked for the District Athletics on Monday 6th September.

District Cross Country

On Friday 14th May, 59 students across Years 3 – 6 will be competing in the North Balwyn District Cross Country at Macleay Park. Students were selected based on their excellent results in the school cross country at the end of Term 1. All students participated in training sessions held before school on Thursdays in the lead up to the day to improve their fitness. We wish the Cross Country team the very best and look forward to relaying the results in the next newsletter.
