Positive Behaviour For Learning (PBL)

Glen Innes High School is a PBL school and our values are:

Repect, Responsibility and Diligence

PBL means that we teach positive behaviours just like we teach English and Maths. These behaviours are taught around core values that have been established by our school and community.

Our school and community came up with the core values of Respect, Responsibility and Diligence based on a school wide survey with staff, students, parents and the community.

We have decided that these values will act as the core for everything we do in the school. Some areas we have focused on include punctuality, respectful interactions, bringing correct equipment and mobile phones.

We have been rewarding these correct behaviours through our positive levels system. There are six levels: orange, green, bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Each level attracts a variety of different rewards.

Respect is having appropriate consideration for school, staff and students.

Responsibility is being accountable for your actions; being dependable when you have things to do.

Diligence is being constant and earnest in effort and application; attentive and persistent in doing something.

PBL Reward System

Glen Innes High School acknowledges students who display the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Diligence by awarding points each lesson. These points equate to various PBL levels. Each positive level has its own set of rewards:
